Covid 19 didn't shut us down nor slowed us down!  

Soko Express had high hopes for 2020 however with internal transitions and external changes in freight Soko like other trucking companies saw a major difference in shipping volume in the 2nd quarter due to Covid 19. As other larger companies were struggling with lane closers and manufactures shitting down smaller companies like Soko also felt the pressure. We saw a decline in almost 80% of the freight in those same months compared to the years before. However, Soko Express would not shut down nor slow down.

Adapting to Covid 19   

As a result of the global shutdowns and changes Soko was at the forefront to keep its business alive. We made several changes that have impacted us in a positive way and allowed us to transition and survive the Covid outbreak.  In our attempts to attempt Soko has made the transition to fully working from home and work remote positions for its staff of dispatchers, human resources, and payroll administrators.

While some companies have reported a decline in productivity working from home Soko was able to transition staff and incorporate new staff to cover the changes. We now have staff coverage in Eastern Time Zones, Mountain Time Zones, and European Time Zones. This transition allowed us to change from the 9-5 to a true 24hr coverage team. 

This has helped our drivers find more fright since there are more hours in the day for our dispatch team to look for expedited cargo. A true blessing in the sky. There will be always something positive out of a negative situation. We were looking gloomy in March but now are very positive about our changes and optimistic about our future.

We Kept growing Despite Covid 19

As freight started to rebound Soko Express started to hire more drivers and more dispatchers. We had our highest grossing August on record thanks for the direction of the administrative team and hard working drivers and dispatchers. As we start planning for our 2021 goal we look back and see how far dedication can go in a transportation business.
